Installed is an HKS pop-off valve on the exhaust side of the intercooler.
The valve has a spring loaded mechanism that bleeds off excess boost above
the set level. You can set the valve too bleed boost between 12 and 18psi
by adjusting the screw. The valve also reduces boost spiking by bleeding
off excess boost. The valve also protects the motor in case something happens
where excessive boost would be applied to the motor. While the valve doesn't
eliminate boost spiking during the turbo transition, it does lower amount
of spiking and also acts a great protective measure for the car.
